Checker International Limited (Checker) is a private company incorporated in 1982 under the laws of Jamaica. It was started as a partnership of three colleagues who had amassed considerable knowledge and experience in the Specialty Chemical Industry in Jamaica and internationally. Checker manufactures and markets several lines of Cleaning and Sanitation Chemicals. Checker’s original products were based on American formulations and raw material purchases. The company’s product lines have evolved to meet the current needs of the Jamaican and Caribbean markets. Checker operates from its owned premises located at 1 Weymouth Close, Kingston 20, Jamaica, where it develops and manufactures a large number of cleaning products aimed primarily at the Industrial/Commercial Market.

Early in the twenty first century, Checker’s management team right sized the company to focus on its manufacturing strengths. And in January 2003 a more customer focused Regional Distribution Network replaced its single National Distributor resulting in lowering of costs and improved service levels to its customers. Checker’s manufacturing strengths have been further enhanced with the introduction of Private Label branding and Contract Manufacturing of Consumer Products. Checker has also developed an innovative product line that is being phased into the Caribbean mass market. The major attribute of this line is portion control through innovative packaging that results in lower costs.
